Quote of the Week:
Copy the quote onto a piece of paper and write a short paragraph responding to what it means to you.
There is no right or wrong, just the power to think and share. Be sure that it is complete. I will change these by the beginning of each week, and you will have until Friday to turn it in to me in the classroom. Be sure that your answers are complete. You should back up your opinion with details and/or examples.
A 10 grade does all of this with detail and personal connection.
An 8 or 9 falls short (usually there is no personal connection or detail when describing what the quote means to you).
A 6 or 7 usually is the work that simply restates the quote without saying anything new.

Quote of the Week for May 31-June 3:
"There are only three things that America will be remembered for 2000 years from now when they study this civilization: The Constitution, Jazz music, and Baseball. These are the 3 most beautiful things this culture's ever created.”
